He was very frank in saying that he knew the heads of all the good banks in Chicago (Continental, etc) and the heads of many other good business firms with whom his opinion would carry weight. He said he didn't need a janitor anyhow, but wanted someone to carry documents to the banks customers now and then - talk football for five minutes if necessary; or deliver some calendars to business, etc - that sort of thing. He wants me to drop in and read their literature whenever I want. I sat with bated breath;
