STUDENT ACTIVITIES BOARD BEGINS WORK

On April 25 of the Student Senate approved appointments to the Student Activities Board. Created by the new student body constitution, the Board has "the responsibility for the regulation and coodination of all student organizations and activities at The University of Iowa. It is designed to actively promote an integrated program of extracurricular activities which enhance the intellectual, cultural and social growth of each member of the student body."

One of the Board's first assignments will be the development of a master calendar of student events for the coming academic year. Groups sponsoring major events will apply for approval of their various calendar dates. More information concerning this function and other responsibilities of the Student Activities Board will be forthcoming in the Daily Iowan. Members for this coming year are:

PUBLICATION SCHEDULE FOR BULLETIN REVISED

As indicated in the first issue of the STUDENT ACTIVITIES BULLETIN, the publication schedule will vary according to the needs of the organizations submitting material. Acordingly, the schedule announced in the first issue has been revised. Issues number 3 and number 4 will be published on May 19 and 29. Deadline dates for submitting material will be noon on May 11 and 18, respectively. All communications and material should be directed to Dr. Roger D. Augustine at his office on the first floor of the Iowa Memorial Union.
