Saving...
TYCHO Page 19 wipe it off with my handkerchief. But Joe was calm; he wasn't afraid. He extended his hand toward me. "Well, fella', I guess this is it! Give my best regards to the gang." I accepted his hand and shook it, hardly realizing that this was the last time I'd see him, while outside the trampling stopped, and the door clanged open. A guard ushered me out, and down the long dimly-lit corridor. I'll never forget Joe's cheery face as he gave me a last smile, and I had to turn away so he wouldn't see the sudden rush of tears. We should erect a statue to Joe Fann. The story of Joe Fann and how he wiped out Space Tales, Ludowitz and Co with that bomb, with never a bit of regard for his own safety, will live down through fandom for ages and ages to come.
