27 Sept 82 Notice of Appeal Re: Application for permit by Rally For Safety for the use of College Green Park on October 23, 1982 In a letter from Robert A. Lee, Superintendent of Recreation received September 25, 1982 the application for permit was approved contingent upon the acquiring of liability insurance in the amount of $100,000/$300,000. we would like to appeal this decision, asking instead that the bond be waived. For a group of our size and resources obtaining insurance to that amount could prove to be impossible. Further, we feel that the nature of this rally is such that organizers and participants are as safe as they might be anywhere. Of the five requirements for obtaining the permit we feel that this is the most difficult to meet. we would appreciate your consideration and ask your support in our attempt to hold this event.
